Introducing The Chronulator

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

Update: The Chronulator is now available.

The Chronulator is our first product. It’s a clock. Or is it? Well, that’s for you to decide. It features two old-school analog panel meters that nominally display the time, in a picture frame you find or make. But with our source code and schematics freely available, you can make the meters do anything you want. Make it show the temperature of your beer fridge, or the response time of your Web server. Maybe a countdown to your next appointment, or the change in your stock portfolio. We don’t know! And that’s why we’re giving you the source code.

The Chronulator will be available for purchase in a few months (September 2007). If you want us to e-mail you when more information becomes available, just e-mail info@sharebrained.com.

Update: The Chronulator is now available.

ShareBrained Technology is a new company focusing on open-source hardware and software. Our customers are encouraged to explore and experiment with our products, taking them in directions we could never foresee. To help this, we publish complete design schematics and source code. We hope to see communities of hardware and software hackers come together to do astonishingly cool stuff with the materials we provide.

Stay tuned. Our first product (and a better Web site) will appear in just a few months (September 2007)!
